The Conference was held at the 4-star Marriott Woodlands Waterway Hotel Convention Center in Houston, Texas. Over 50 skilled Suppliers and seven top-tier OEMs were in attendance. The conference provided OEMs an effective and highly productive forum to meet prospective suppliers pre-qualified by First Index. Suppliers, in turn, had a unique opportunity to differentiate themselves through a tighter connection to an OEM – developing a stronger relationship through personal interaction.
The Oil and Gas Conference kicked off with a meeting of top OEMs, such as TD Williamson and T3 Energy Services, with industry experts and consultants to discuss Global Sourcing Issues specific to the Oil and Gas Industry. Day two consisted of buyer-supplier meetings conducted in 20-minute sessions throughout the day. OEMs met with pre-qualified suppliers, selected by First Index, based upon the requirements of specific OEM projects.
Throughout the conference, suppliers and OEMs also benefited from numerous opportunities to network with each other. The conference was judged an overwhelming success by both the OEMs and suppliers.
