Description: Typical castings produced at Fairmount Foundry include pump housings, pressure vessels, valves, compressor parts, and heat transfer equipment, and hard iron wear parts. In order to provide our customers with the best possible product, Fairmount Foundry uses primarily no-bake molding. Additionally, traditional green sand molding is available. The no-bake molding process provides better dimensional control, smoother surface finish, and a higher quality casting. Our in-house sprectrometer allows us to produce virtually any grade of iron and aluminum. This technology allows us to produce standard and/or "boutique alloys" as specified by the individual customer. Material certifications can be kept at Fairmount or forwarded to the customer as required.

Description: The Dayton Foundry Operation of Flowserve Corporation is a steel foundry that produces castings in carbon and stainless steel, nickel base alloy, reactive alloys such as titanium and zirconium. We also produce a specialized pipe made of our Duriron High Silicon Iron for the transporting of corrosive chemicals. We have been in continues operation at our Dayton Ohio location since 1912.We offer five foundries within our foundry complex, investment, shell, no bake, rapid prototype to quick casting center, titanium and reactive alloy. The Dayton Foundry can produce castings from ½ pound up to 3500 pounds, with order quantities that can range from one to thousands of pieces. We have complete pattern shop capabilities and x ray facilities on the manufacturing premises.
