Tooling University, online CNC and manufacturing distance learning for manufacturers.

The Canadian Tooling & Machining Association (CTMA) was established in 1963 by combining various trade associations to produce one strong organization to represent the "Tooling Industry". The term "Tooling Industry" includes designing manufacturing - repairing or assembling for the purpose of selling tools, dies, moulds, jigs, fixtures, gauges, machinery, machining systems, robotics, automation equipment, models, patterns, general jobbing machine shop products and cutting tools. Restricting membership to manufacturers and industry suppliers as associate members has assured that the Association will always be devoted to Canadian manufacturing in the tooling and machining sectors.

The Tooling & Manufacturing Association was founded in 1925 by 8 small manufacturing companies who thought they could better themselves by associating with one another. Through the years, members established programs and services that would help their businesses grow and prosper, train their employees, and provide medical and retirement benefits. As a result of these efforts, TMA has grown into a 1,300 member not-for-profit organization of precision manufacturing and supplier companies in the greater Chicago area.
