Custom Filtered Membership

The Custom Filtered Membership (CFM) is for the shop that is looking for significant new business development exposure in new markets.  Memberships can be filtered by the following:

  • Size of OEM based on # of Employees
  • Industry (Aerospace, Automotive, Oil/Gas/Energy, Truck, etc.)
  • Batch Size
  • Material
  • Size of work piece

Any of our Custom Filtered Memberships includes a searchable profile that is viewed by major OEMs in our marketplace.

A likely candidate for a CFM typically will have 20 or more employees, is ISO/QS/AS registered or have a documented QC/QA program and have one or more Fortune 500 customers. Most are capable of high volume production for one customer while delivering on time delivery to other customers. The Members who benefit from this level of participation have owners with sales and marketing savvy or one or more salespersons whose primary focus is to develop and follow up leads.

Membership includes:

  • Nationwide (and Canada) or multiple regions of RFQs – with full contact information
  • Searchable Profile
  • Year-long sales support.

 

Standard Membership

The Standard Membership is for the shop that is looking to build its customer base in its regional market but is interested in exploring the national market. These Members are in the process of ISO/OS/AS registration or have a track record of meeting the quality requirements of their customers.  Suppliers with Standard Membership are characterized by one or more of the following:

  • Anxious about having one or a handful of customers…”too many eggs in one basket.”
  • Looking to diversify the industries from which customers arise
  • Determined to get to the next level and grow the business
  • At a comfortable level of business, but looking to replace undesirable customers

Membership includes:

  • Home region (or a choice of region) RFQs – with full contact information
  • Globally Searchable Profile
  • Year-long sales support.

Our Research Department, made up of sourcing experts, goes after RFQs by contacting thousands of manufacturers yearly. Researchers talk to buyers, procurement managers, engineers, owners and others with purchasing responsibilities. We offer them a better way to source custom parts. We learn what they buy, what they want to improve and what sourcing changes they are considering.  Prints, specifications and job descriptions are sent directly to our Members.  Members will then directly contact the Buyers after consulting the Researcher responsible for the job.

Our PRO Platform is considered an “eRFX” solution for buying organizations in middle and large market OEMs who typically spend at least $50MM per year in custom made components.  These companies have sourcing contracts with First Index, and therefore are highly motivated to award work to First Index Members that are a fit.
